Now that we have made it to 2020, authorities are urging people to be diligent when signing documents legal and professional when it comes to writing the official date.

People should NOT write abbreviated dates as we have in the past few years. By abbreviating the date to just “20” you can easily get set up for fraud.

Ensure during the year that when you have to put an official date on a document, check or anything else you put “2020”.

Do no do this: 3/3/20 it could be changed to 3/3/2018 or 3/3/2010.

Instead, make sure you ALWAYS write the dates as 3/3/2020.

It could potentially save you some trouble down the road.
