Paris Police are urging local residents to check their credit/debit cards, after a card skimmer was found at a local gas station.
An employee at CEFCO, located in the 2100 block of Lamar, discovered a card skimmer inside a gas station pump Monday afternoon.
“Officers responded to a fraud complaint where they were told an unknown suspect had placed a credit/debit card skimmer inside a gas pump during the day,” said Paris Lt. John Berry.
“When you pay at the pump it’s a possibility this can happen. If you can, go inside the store to pay and always monitor your accounts for any kind of suspicious activity”
If you notice any suspicious activity, residents are urged to contact the local police department.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
