A Lamar County man has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses following an investigation into the recent damage of several FLOCK automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras across Lamar County, Paris and Reno.
According to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, detectives used various investigative tools and surveillance techniques to identify a suspect. Travis Paul Dickson, 47, was arrested on Aug. 21, 2026.
Dickson was charged with deadly conduct – discharge of a firearm; criminal mischief greater than $2,500 but less than $30,000; and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
A judge set Dickson’s total bond at $35,000. He has since posted bond and been released.

They also play a major role in locating Silver Alerts, missing persons, missing juveniles, and exploited individuals. I would like to commend the hard work of Lamar County Deputies and Detectives for identifying and arresting the individual responsible for the damage to the ALPRs.”
