On Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026, just after 2:00 am, officers with the Paris Police Department were conducting a traffic stop in the 200 block of Clarksville Street when they made contact with the female driver.
During the investigation, officers discovered the driver had several outstanding warrants through Lamar County, including a warrant for Burglary of a Habitation. She was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, along with loose prescription medication. The female was additionally arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, less than one gram. Because she was unable to provide a valid prescription for the medication, she was also charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs, a misdemeanor.
The female was transported to jail for booking and processing without further incident.
Officers made 21 traffic stops, made 5 adult arrests, and answered 66 calls for service during this reporting period.
