Last week, Campbell Soup announced its latest round of Campbell Soup Foundation grants, which includes a $25,000 grant to the Downtown Food Pantry.
“In October, we awarded $150,000 to GENYOUth to support their COVID-19 Emergency School Meal Delivery Fund in several Campbell hometowns, including Paris. As part of this grant, $9,000 will go to support three local schools with microgrants to reduce the burden of unanticipated costs needed to serve meals outside the traditional school meal environment,” said Senior Manager of External Communications Amanda Pisano.
These funds are in addition to the Community Impact Grants and emergency relief the company provided earlier this year.
“This brings Campbell’s total giving in the Paris area this year to more than $360,000 in funds and food. Since the start of the pandemic, Campbell has donated more than $8 million to communities across our footprint in North America.”
Allan Hubbard, Executive Director of the Downtown Food Pantry said, “Campbell Soup Company and their charitable foundation have once again shown exactly how much the people of Paris mean to them. To say Campbell’s is a valued community partner is an understatement on every front. Not only do they employ a tremendous number of local people, they care about those in need and their giving reflects that.”
