In the wake of a shooting, in which 10 people died including a law enforcement officer, President Biden called on the Senate to “immediately pass” new gun control measures.
Biden is pressuring the House and Senate to ban assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines alongside making changes to background check laws.
Talking about the ban of assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines, Biden said, “I got that done when I was a senator.
“It passed. It was a law for the longest time, and it brought down these mass killings. We should do it again. As president I’m going to use all the resources at my disposal to keep people safe,” he said before leaving The White House for Columbus, Ohio.
