The body of a man found floating three miles south of Hugo Lake spillway on the Kiamichi River on Sunday afternoon has been identified as a missing Coalgate man.
“The man that drowned south of the Hugo Lake spillway has been identified as a missing Coalgate man. Our prayers are with the family,” said Choctaw Sheriff Terry Park.
The man was found floating three miles south of Hugo Lake spillway on Kiamichi River Sunday afternoon and had reportedly been in the water for about 3-4 days.
Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park said the body was found floating face down and was found by people fishing Sunday afternoon.
The body was transported to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the case.
