At 1:15 p.m. on April 12, 2022, Paris Police responded to a fraud that had occurred at a business in Lamar County where an identified suspect had used the victim’s credit card to make a purchase. The victim reported that the suspect has apparently taken a picture of the victim’s credit card while working at a business in Paris. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a building in the 400 block of SE 47th St at 1:15 P.M. on April 12, 2022. The victim reported that someone had broken into a shed and had stolen several hand tools. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a disturbance call in the 2400 block of Pine Bluff St at 1:07 A.M. on April 13, 2022 where it was reported that a female was standing in the street screaming. Officers located Danetra Latonya McGill, 44, of Paris, at the scene and found that she had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant. As officers were placing her under arrest, she admitted to the officers that she was in possession of cocaine. Officers located the narcotics and charged her with possession of a controlled substance of less than 1 gram. McGill is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail.
