Since launching a dedicated narcotics unit in early 2026, the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office has made significant progress in combatting illegal narcotics activity throughout Fannin County.
As part of this ongoing effort, 13 individuals have been arrested on narcotics-related charges:
Chase Petty, Christopher Hopper, Chandra Traylor, Terry Brookshire, Christina Jimenez, Danny Garrard, Lorenza Marshall, Kathleen Garrison, Joshua Gaylon, Tony Tunson, Brian Smallwood, Jonathan Smallwood, and Russell Pemberton.
During these investigations, deputies and investigators seized or assisted other agencies in seizing the following quantity of illegal narcotics, including:
• 92.91 grams of methamphetamine
• 11.8 pounds of marijuana
• 37 controlled substance pills
• 85 grams of codeine
• 6.57 grams of crack cocaine
The safety of Fannin County residents remains the top priority of the Sheriff’s Office. The establishment of the narcotics unit reflects a continued commitment to proactively addressing illegal drug activity and improving the overall quality of life within the community.
The success of these operations is the direct result of strong partnerships between law enforcement agencies across Fannin County. Through coordinated efforts, shared intelligence, and mutual support, agencies are able to respond more effectively to criminal activity and hold offenders accountable. This level of collaboration ensures a more unified approach to public safety and delivers a direct benefit to the citizens of Fannin County.
