On July 22, An officer responded to the 4300 block of Bonham St. regarding a person with a warrant for arrest being present at the location. The officer made contact and detained the individual. Once the Lamar County Sheriff’s Warrant for Motion to Adjudicate Guilt – Aggravated Assault w/a Deadly Weapon was confirmed, the subject was placed under arrest and booked into the Paris City Jail without incident.
On July 22, Paris Police received a call regarding a wanted person in the 800 block of NE 13 St. The individual was located and detained while dispatch confirmed the warrant. The individual was arrested for a Lamar County Sheriff’s Office warrant for Motion to Revoke: Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1B >=1G<4G and transported and booked into the Paris City Jail.
On July 22, An officer observed a person in the 600 block of Grand Ave. who they knew had a warrant for their arrest. Dispatch located and confirmed the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office warrant for Theft Prop >=$2,500<$30K, and the person was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Paris City Jail without incident.
On July 22, An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation and, a few blocks down, the officer activated lights and sirens attempting to stop the vehicle. After traveling approximately one mile, the vehicle stopped in the 800 block of NE 5 St., where the officer made contact with the driver. When checked by dispatch, the driver was confirmed to have a Paris Municipal Court warrant for their arrest. The individual was placed under arrest on the Fail to Display Drivers License warrant and for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. The driver was transported and booked into the Paris City Jail.
On July 23, In the early hours of the morning, officers on patrol made contact with a person they observed walking behind a closed business. While talking with the individual, the person offered to show officers the contents of their backpack. Officers observed possible drug paraphernalia inside the bag. They initiated a probable cause search of the backpack, resulting in the discovery of a bag of what appeared to be and was later confirmed to be a controlled substance. The person was placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1b <1G and ultimately booked into Paris City Jail without incident.
