Today is East Texas Giving Day and United Way of Lamar County is “giving back” by handing out FREE DIAPERS at the corner of Lamar Avenue and Collegiate Drive from noon to 2 p.m.
The SNAP mobile truck will also be on location to help people with applications for SNAP, CHIP, Medicaid, and Health Texas Women.
Any donations given today at easttexasgivingday.org/unitedwayoflamarcounty will be matched by donations from both Atmos Energy and Delco Trailers – tripling your individual donation.
“Thank you for supporting the United Way of Lamar County as we fight for the health, education and financial stability of everyone in our community,” said Jenny Wilson, executive director.
All funds raised will go to support our rent and utility assistance programs.
Since March 2020, the United Way of Lamar County have helped hundreds of families in Lamar County remain in their homes with running water, electricity and gas.
If you would like to show your support with a gift, please visit the East Texas Giving Day website at www.easttexasgivingday.org. Several Lamar County nonprofits are also participating in this online fundraising event and you can donate to those non-profits through that link.
