The Bonham Police Department announced two officers were fired on Monday, according to KXII.
The department said the officers were being investigated for policy violations, and as a result, they were both let go.
The firing comes after the officers were placed on administrative leave on July 18, 2023, relating to the officers being the subject of a criminal investigation being conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers Division.
The investigation by the rangers is still ongoing.
