On Monday, September 18 at 07:18am; Paris Officers responded to the 3200 block of North
Main Street to a new construction site and spoke with two victims. A Burglary had occurred
and a Dump Truck had been stolen. Multiple locks had been cut from job boxes, which
contained workers tools. Over $2,500 in tool were stolen (Milwaukee & Hilti Hammer Drills,
Milwaukee Grinder, Milwaukee Knock Out set). The value will increase as the Detectives
further their investigations. Later in the day; the Dump Truck, valued at $115,000 was
located and recovered in Greenville, Texas.
On Monday, September 18 at 2:39pm; a Community Service Officer took a Fraud Possession
Use Credit or Debit Card Report to be investigated, after speaking with a victim, who stated
that a charge by “Core Resident Web” for $1895.00 on 9-12-2023 was made to her Guaranty
Bank Account. She attempted to call a phone number listed with the charge; but received an
automated answering service. A message was left; but she is yet to receive a return call.
On Monday, September 18 at 10:01pm; an on duty Paris Officer (on break) opened his
residence door after hearing a knock, in the 200 block of Stone Avenue and spoke with a
mother that believed that her 7-year-old daughter had been enticed by a 17-year-old male.
The mother stated that her daughter told her that the male stated to her, to “Follow him
home.” The 17-year-old gave a different version of the event and said that “the mother” had
come over to his apartment and made threatens to do bodily harm. An Unlawful Restraint
Less Than 17 Yrs of Age and Terroristic Threat reports were taken to be further investigated.
The Paris Police Department responded to 78 Calls for
Service, Arrested 3 adult persons and made 5 Traffic Stops.
