On Mar. 20, Officers arrested Debra Jean Brown (56) for an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation for DWI 3rd. Brown was arrested at the Probation office, booked and taken to county jail
On Mar. 21, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of SE 10th St for an equipment violation. Contact was made with Bruce Lee Freelen (43) and Ashley Nicole Hensler (38). A consensual search of the vehicle resulted in the locating of methamphetamine inside the driver area of the vehicle. Freelen, the driver, was arrested and charged with the narcotics possession. Hensler then later confessed to having methamphetamine on her person concealed in a pocket of her jacket. She produced the narcotics and was charged with possession of narcotics. Both were booked without incident.
On Mar. 20, an officer responded to WalMart on a shoplifter call. Upon arrival the officer observed the suspect, who was identified by store personnel, attempting to flee the area. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the suspect gave the name of Brenton Williams with a date of birth. During the contact another officer located a Florida ID card identifying the suspect as Deontae Xavieous Rhines (35). Rhines was taken into custody for Failure to Identify by giving a false name. Store personnel advised that Rhines had skip scanned 176.30 worth of groceries at the check out. He was detained by store security personnel and while being questioned, he ran from the store and to the vehicle in the parking lot. Rhines was also charged with theft over 100.00 but less than 750.00.
On Mar. 21, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1400 block of 26th NE. The driver attempted to exit the vehicle and flee but was detained by officers. Officers identified the driver as Kevin Sosthenes Thomas (25). Thomas had marijuana in plain view in the vehicle. A warrant check revealed that Thomas was wanted for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and for a Parole Violation Warrant. Thomas was arrested without incident. The Delivery charge was from a 2020 case.
Officers worked two incidents in which unlocked vehicles were entered by suspects and items, including a Michael korrs purse, change, identifying information, credit cards, and a gift card were stolen.
Officers made 17 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 97 calls for service for this reporting period
