The total number of coronavirus cases reported in Lamar County since the beginning of the pandemic has surpassed 5,000 as officials report an additional 31 new cases on Jan. 15 & 16.
The Paris-Lamar County Health District also reported two new coronavirus-related deaths in an 84-year old male and an 87-year old female. There has been a total of 87 coronavirus-related deaths to date.
To date, there has been a total of 5,046 coronavirus cases. 2,302 PCR, 2,654 Antigen and 126 Antibody.
On Monday, Paris City Mayor Steve Clifford addressed ongoing concerns about COVID-19 vaccinations, including how the community can get the vaccine.
