Pledges are already being made towards Pump Track Paris, Texas; a 15,000 sq. ft., world-class pump track set to launch Spring 2019.

“I became the President of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce week ago so I had to be brought to speed about the Pump Track,” said Paul Allen.

“The VCC and Chamber Board had given their 100 percent approval to stand behind this project.”

Pump Track Paris Texas, being built just outside of the Love Civic Center, will be a part of RIDE PARIS – The Ultimate Texas Biking Destination that will include Trail de Paris, Tour de Paris, Mountain Bike Trails, Bike Rentals and the new Pump Track.

“The Paris Pump Track will be the largest in the United States and our location will bring us in a triangular position with the ones in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The possibilities of this Pump Track are endless.”

“This project will fit right in with what is already established in Lamar County. The Trail De Paris, Gravel Grind, and Annual Tour de Paris continue to make Paris a destination for many people. The Pump Track will continue to make Lamar County a biking destination to go along with the other established events that we have in place.”

The new Pump Track is set to be the future home to the Red Bull World Pump Track Championship qualifier according to the Pump Track Paris Texas Facebook page.

“The outpouring of support for this has been astonishing with donations coming in on a daily basis. I am not a biker, so Brandon Bell a VCC Board Member who has biking experience, went to Oklahoma City to experience a National Qualifiers event on their Pump Track. Brandon’s biking experience and his first-hand knowledge of what this would look like in Paris will make him the right person to get our message out in LAMAR County.”

The Rotary Club of Paris United will be taking pledges with many platinum sponsors like Quality Care ER, Paris Fire, K&B Steel and First Federal already on board. Gold sponsors include Lamar National Bank, Sonic, Everett Toyota and Paris Orthopedic Clinic.

“I see this not only as a financial gain for LAMAR County with the certain possibilities of competition events, but I look at it as a free public park where kids can spend endless hours either riding, running their remote control cars (which has it own Pump Track competitions), or families gathering in a location where there is shade and picnic areas along with food trucks lined up ready to serve. There are so many possibilities that this Pump Track can create for our Community and others in so many different avenues. I probably need to go buy a bike to ride with my grandkids. Make memories of a lifetime.”

The Pump Track Paris Texas is contingent on getting the grant from Parks and Wildlife.
