The Paris Police Department no longer maintains a Drug Take-Back Box, however unused or expired prescriptions can be disposed of at Paris Regional Medical Center’s north campus, 865 Deshong Drive.
Items accepted include unused or expired prescription medication – including schedule II-V controlled substances; unused or expired over-the-counter medication; and pet medication.
Not accepted medication includes schedule I controlled substances and illegal drugs, alongside thermometers, inhalers, lotions/liquids, aerosol cans, needles and hydrogen peroxide.
The drug take-back box – available 8 a.m.-8 p.m. – is in PRMC’s main lobby and can be accessed through the front entrance, under the drive-through. When entering the lobby, turn right, walk past the registration desks and the drug take-back box is in the center of the tree-themed display on the left.
