Bill to end Daylight Saving Time rejected in Texas Senate

A bill that would allow Texans to vote on ending Daylight Saving Time is dead in the legislature, according to Fox News.

Last month, the Texas House of Representatives approved a joint resolution to allow Texas voters to choose whether they would like to permanently live under Daylight Saving Time or Standard Time.

While the bill’s author, State Rep. Lyle Larson of San Antonio, said he didn’t care what voters chose, his priority was just ending the annual clock-shifting.

Standard Time, from November to March, is the time when DST is not in use.
