Two vehicles reported stolen out of Dallas years ago were recovered during shop inspections in Hunt County earlier this week.
On Sept. 9, detectives with the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force (NETXATTF), along with investigators from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, conducted shop inspections at properties in Hunt County.
During the inspections, investigators discovered a 2015 GMC Yukon that had been mostly parted out. Authorities determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Dallas in 2023.
On an adjoining property, investigators located a 2017 Bobcat skid steer that had also been reported stolen out of Dallas. The skid steer had been listed as stolen since 2018.
Both were seized by authorities after being confirmed as stolen.
The investigation remains ongoing.
