Stephen Wade Burris, 48, of Powderly, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, at his residence, after a short illness.
Stephen was born on May 8, 1970 in Paris, Texas, a son of Mike Burris and Betty Foreman Ward. Stephen was a plumber, loved riding his Harley and enjoyed woodworking. Family and friends will remember him as fun-loving, joking and a big teddy bear who would help anyone.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Burris whom he married on May 21, 1993, in Powderly; children, Hagen Burris and Paige Burris; father, Mike Burris; mother, Betty Ward; brothers, Dale Burris and Drew Ward; and sister, Annette Burris. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Short.
