Sharon Sue Young, 75 of Blossom, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Stillhouse Nursing Center.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
Sharon was born on February 2, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Mitchell James and Mary Lou Whitted. She enjoyed quilting, watching westerns, Murder She Wrote and loved to play slots.
She is survived by her companion, Greg Young; daughters, Tammy Mancilla of Paris, Carissa Stephens and husband Matt of Tennessee, Kerry Jones of Paris; brother, Mike Whitted and wife Vickey of Paris; sister, Shirley Whitted of Paris; grandchildren, Mary Beth and husband Jayden of Paris, Lauren and husband Derrick of Blossom, Jessica of Quitman, Clinton and wife Emily of Oklahoma, Matti and companion of Tennessee, Larana and husband Keenan of Blossom, Valerie of Paris, Josie and husband Isaac of Blossom; great-grandchildren, Connor, Stephanie “Red”, Cam, Millie, Alex, Ariela, Jaziel, Gracie, Butter, Bubba; nieces, Angela and husband Jose of Paris, Dustie and husband Chuck of Blossom, April and husband David of Blossom; nephew, Steven and wife Vernoica of Temple, Texas; great-nieces, Sarah, Emily, Destinee, Meagan; great-nephews, Hunter, J.J. Jayse, Austin; special friend, Daris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mikey Jones; daughter, Kimberly “Doni” McGowan.
