Local businessman Mihir Pankaj is set to expand his hotel empire with the addition of Home2 Suites by Hilton – Paris, TX; a four-story, 84 suite, pet-friendly hotel on NE Loop 286 between Dairy Queen and Signature Care ER.
“We love what Home2 Suites will bring to our community, and the need it will fill in our hospitality sector. Also because I know what our travelers prefer,” said Pankaj, who currently owns Hampton Inn and Days Inn in Paris. “We strive to provide the best for our guests through excellence in customer service and cleanliness.”
Each suite will not only have a large kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, kitchenware, dishwasher, and microwave but they’ll also have customizable workspaces in each room.
“This hotel is geared for all sorts of travelers, mainly boasting a great extended stay clientele, but also perfect for those staying overnight. We will also have a walking path and picnic areas scattered around the back of the property for folks to be able to enjoy their time outdoors with their loved ones.”
Additionally, there will be a 6,000 sq. ft. conference center within the hotel, Paris Conference and Event Center.
The events center will feature three smaller banquet halls that can convert into one large grand ballroom to fit 300 people plus a pre-function area and there will be a kitchen for outside caterers to prepare meals for various event attendees.
Pankaj said the hotel is a tribute to his parents and all their hard work within the hotel industry over the past 40-years.
“My parents have been in this industry for over 40 years, and they worked their tails off to earn the American Dream. They know nothing but hard work and I saw that firsthand as a young man growing up. This is a tribute to their hard work. It has always been my personal dream to work side-by-side with my father and I finally get to do while building this hotel. This is every kid’s dream, to be able to work alongside their hero, and mine is just now coming true.”
When Pankaj was just nine-years-old his family built Hampton Inn in Paris and he said he remembers playing on the dirt pad as the building was being constructed watching his parents in amazement.
“Now I am a father, I’m hoping I have that same opportunity to share with my daughter and create lasting memories,” he said. “Three generations, that’s where we are, and we are blessed for every second we are here. This hotel is a symbol of unity for us. We want to show Paris that we are proud to be a part of this business community and that we believe in Paris. This is just one small step forward in our mission to help inspire and unite our community. We love this city and want to see great things happen here, and this is our way of contributing and doing our part.”
Pankaj said there is a phase two to the project, however, that is still in the planning stages and will be announced at a later date.
