Rodgers Wade, a renowned fixture manufacturer based in Paris, Texas, has announced the creation of 40 new jobs due to the successful acquisition of certain assets of PIN, a Grapevine, Texas-based millwork company.
This acquisition marks a positive upswing in employment and economic development for Lamar County, boosting the local manufacturing industry and reaffirming the region’s status as a hub for quality manufacturing jobs.
The Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) played a pivotal role in supporting this project.
“The PEDC was instrumental in our decision to bring these jobs to Paris and Lamar County. As a locally owned company, we are proud to have these families and jobs in our community,” stated John Hamer, President of Rodgers Wade.
Since its origins in 1856, Rodgers Wade has evolved from a cabinet shop to one of the industry’s oldest continual fixture manufacturing companies, providing quality employment opportunities for over a century.
This opportunity has delivered new agreements with major brands such as Ross Dress for Less, The UPS Stores, Floor & Décor and Petco further demonstrating Rodgers Wade’s commitment to growth within the industry.
Maureen Hammond, Executive Director of PEDC, stated, “Rodgers Wade has a rich history dating back to the mid-1800s. They, and other Harper family-owned enterprises, have been long-time contributors to quality jobs in Lamar County. This opportunity and expansion further strengthen Paris’ position as a leader in manufacturing jobs in Northeast Texas.”
Josh Bray, Chairman of the PEDC, reflected on the strategic cooperation, “The importance of working with existing businesses to expand and grow remains a top priority of the PEDC. We are grateful for Rodgers Wade’s commitment to economic development for our region and congratulate them on this milestone.”
The integration of former PIN employees and new job openings offering an average annual wage of $45,000 promise strong economic benefits for the area.
The additional jobs will bring the workforce levels at Rodgers Wade to nearly 100 employees, reflecting a 70% increase and demonstrating the company’s determination to invest in the community and its future.
