Woman arrested for multiple burglaries in Lamar County || Beth Michelle Townsdin Bell

A Paris woman is behind bars today after the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office recently solved multiple theft investigations in Lamar County

Over the last couple of weeks, the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating four separate burglaries that occurred in different areas of Lamar County.

According to Sheriff Scott Cass, burglaries were reported at two Lamar County churches and two residences were prescription medications, large amounts of cash and jewelry had been taken.

On Tuesday, Deputies investigating the burglaries identified a suspect and a suspect vehicle both of whom were located at a local motel in Paris.

Sheriff Deputies arrested Beth Michelle Townsdin Bell for a felony fugitive warrant out of the state of Louisiana and local felony warrants.

“During the arrest, Detectives located property identified from three of the reported burglaries and evidence stemming from a Louisiana case,” said Cass. “A search warrant was obtained for the location where the suspect was staying and more stolen property was found from the reported burglaries.”

Townsdin was arrested for a Fugitive from Justice warrant – Louisiana, MTAG for Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled and MTAG Burglary of a Habitation.

With the evidence that was located as a result of the search warrant, Detectives were able to obtain three Burglary of Habitation warrants.

Townsdin was transported to the Lamar County Jail where a bond was set at $30,000.00 for the three burglaries.

Bond was denied on all other charges.
