WANTED: Cooke Co. Sheriff seeks capital murder suspect

A Ft. Worth man is wanted for capital murder charges in Cooke County after two bodies were found burned in a vehicle on Sunday.

37-year-old Mandeep Singh of Fort Worth, Texas is wanted on capital murder charges and authorities believe him to be armed and dangerous.

Cooke County Sheriff Terry Gilbert said, “The Cooke County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Sunday regarding a vehicle that was on fire in the middle of the roadway in rural northwest Cooke County.”

After extinguishing the fire, the Muenster Volunteer Fire Department located the remains of two deceased persons in the back seat.

Gilbert said it appeared the vehicle was intentionally set on fire.

Cooke County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators, Texas Rangers, and Fire Marshall are investigating.

“Singh may have fled on foot or was picked up in a vehicle,” said Gilbert. “Singh’s whereabouts are unknown and is to be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.”
