The United Way of Lamar County will be honoring the Texas Scholars from all four Lamar County high schools on Monday, May 17th. The county-wide event will be held at the Paris High School Wildcat Stadium beginning at 5:30pm.
This year, 166 Lamar County high school seniors reached the high standards and criteria that is required to be named a “Texas Scholar.” Certificates and medals will be handed out by the Superintendent of each school district.
In addition, the Valedictorian and Salutatorian from Paris, North Lamar, Chisum, Prairiland, and Clarksville high schools will be recognized. The recipients of this year’s United Way of Lamar County’s scholarships will also be announced.
