Texas Senator Bryan Hughes to attend City of Deport event, ‘A Night to Celebrate Texas’

Texas Senator Bryan Hughes is set to attend the City of Deport event, ‘A Night to Celebrate Texas’ event on Thursday, July 11th.

“Hughes will be the guest of honor with an update from a recent session of the Texas Legislature,” said organizers. 

The event is being billed by the City of Deport as, “A Night to Celebrate Texas” with other guest speakers giving updates including Lamar County Judge Brandon Bell, Red River County Judge L.D. Williamson, Mihir Pankaj with Paris Economic Development Corporation and Deport Mayor John Mark Francis.

“I’m looking forward to our event in Deport.” said Senator Hughes “This will be a chance for me to visit with the folks I represent down in Austin and to hear their interests and concerns first hand. There’s a lot going on in Deport and Lamar and Red River Counties and I’m thankful for this opportunity.”

The event will be held at the Dr. Hale Glover Community Center in downtown Deport at 143 Main Street. ‘

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with light refreshment with the event beginning at 6:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Bryan Hughes is serving his first term in the Texas Senate, representing the 16 coun­ties of Senate District One in Northeast Texas. He previously represented District Five in the Texas House.
