The Red River Valley Veterans Expo, presented by Shield Down, will be held Oct. 17 at the Clarksville Country Club from 4 to 9 p.m.
The free event is open to veterans, their families and the community and will feature food, drinks, entertainment and more.
Texas country artist Rich O’Toole will perform at 7 p.m.
The expo will also feature a free technology event for blind and low-vision veterans, with East Texas Lighthouse providing Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, setup and hands-on training to qualifying veterans who are blind or have significant vision loss.
The glasses connect to a smartphone and can assist users by describing what is in front of them and reading text aloud.
The Meta AI glasses distribution and training will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Registration is required.
For more information about the glasses program or eligibility, call East Texas Lighthouse at 903-593-3111.
