After Lamar County was hit by a EF-4 tornado on Nov. 4, 2022, residents were on high alert Tuesday morning as severe weather moved through the area.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a Tornado Warning was issued county wide with reports of a tornado spotted moving towards the area from Fannin County.
According to reports, a tornado touched down in the western portion of Lamar County, near FM 38 and CR 2820.
Minor injuries were reported and several homes/structures were completely destroyed. Power was down in the area for several hours.
In Fannin County, officials reported one resident was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and an unconfirmed number of homes were damaged or destroyed.
The National Weather Service has not yet confirmed.
