Officers responded to the 3800 block of Lamar in regards to a shoplifter. Store personnel had detained Regina Jones for leaving the store with several items with a value of 327.32. Jones had not attempted to pay for the merchandise. It was found during booking that Jones had two previous convictions for theft. She was arrested and charged with Theft <2500.00 with two prior convictions as well as an outstanding warrant from Red River County. She was booked and placed in jail.
Officers arrested Monica Ann Preston in the 500 block of East Houston. Preston was wanted on a Bond Surrender warrant for a previous charge of Possession of Controlled Substance. She was arrested without incident.
