Mon. Nov. 25 at 11:42am; a late report, due to no management personnel present on the day of the incident, was taken. The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Lamar Avenue, three days ago. An employee had delivered food to a vehicle and both the employee, and the vehicle had attempted to leave the scene at the same time, with the vehicle striking the employee. The employee reported delivering the food as normal and no altercations occurred, but later went to the hospital due to having a sharp pain in her heel and leg. The incident will be further investigated.
Mon. Nov. 25 at 4:00pm; a Paris Officer responded to a motor vehicle parking lot accident in the 2000 block of Lamar Avenue. While investigating, a witness stated that a female was the driver of one vehicle, and she had asked him to take the
blame and to tell the police that he was driving. He had last seen the female inside the business. 54-year-old Zenobia Lynn Helsel was located inside the business in the bathroom with the door open, lights off, standing behind the door. She was not an employee and had walked behind the desk, through the kitchen, to the nonpublic bathroom. Helsel was placed into custody for Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle >=$200, Misdemeanor B. Helsel was additionally arrested for an outstanding Felony warrant out of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence.
Mon. Nov. 25 at 5:46pm; a Community Service Officer took a Felony Forgery report. A check in the amount of $28.00 had been removed from a mailbox in Bowie County, altered to the amount of $534.37, and cashed in the 3800 block of Lamar
Avenue.
