Winnie Voncile Sellers Edwards, of Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at Paris Regional Health. Born February 18, 1949, in Polk County, Florida, to GJ Sellers and Katie Carrie Coon. She lived a life defined by devotion to her family and quiet generosity towards all who knew her in Crestview, Florida, recently moving to be with ther daughter in Texas.
Winnie shared 55 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Landrum E Edwards, whom she affectionately called Lanny or Hubby. She had two children: Melanie A Edwards-Lieving and Landrum E Edwards Jr. She was a dedicated housewife during her children’s younger years and then worked primarily with adults and children with disabilities. She found joy and passion in serving them, and they brought her happiness.
Winnie had an ability to reach people positively by truly listening and providing comfort when needed. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her children (Melanie and Lanny Jr), daughter-in-law (Janet), grandchildren (Chris, Keegan, Anneliese, Landon, Everley, Jaxon, Kiera and Kason), sisters (Miriam, Juanita, Carolyn, Tammy) Brother Robbie and sister-in-law Joan. A gathering for family and friends will be arranged in Crestview, Florida with details to be announced soon.
