Paris Police stopped a vehicle for not displaying a license plate in the 1700 block of E Price St at 7:22 P.M. on May 23, 2022. A passenger in the vehicle, 30 year old Markeith Dontrele Perkins, of Paris, was found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant. Perkins was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a theft of a firearm in the 800 block of NE 10th St at 4:44 P.M. on May 20, 2022. The victim reported that they had returned home and found that the front door was not locked and a firearm missing from inside the residence. The investigation continues.
