Paris Regional Medical Center on Monday announced the recipients of their Daisy and Violet awards.
The Daisy and Violet awards are presented to “extraordinary nurses” and honor the “super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day.”
Brandi McCulloch, an RN on the Stepdown Unit, was awarded the Daisy award and was nominated by the son of one of her patients.
He wrote, “Her compassion, patience and demonstrated expertise were outstanding. Her actions and clinical decisions directly led to my dad making a complete turnaround in less than 24 hours.”
Lauren Patterson, a Nurse Aide on 5 West, received the Violet award and her nominator said, “Lauren is very compassionate with her patients. Any time she floats to another floor/unit, the staff she assists are relieved to know they got her. Our patients are exceeded in care when Lauren is working!”
“We are fortunate to work with you both, and our community is fortunate to have y’all here to care for them. Congratulations on the much-deserved recognition,” said PRMC.
