Paris Police located and arrested Carmine Caggiano in the 3000 block of NE Loop 286 St at 2:45 P.M. on February 11, 2022 on a Lamar County Felony probation warrant. Caggiano is currently on probation for a possession of a controlled substance conviction. Caggiano was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police arrested D’Andrea Buris, 23, of Honey Grove, Texas, at 4:07 P.M. on February 11, 2021 for a felony probation violation warrant. Buris was arrested at the Lamar County Probation office. Buris is on probation for 2 convictions of credit card or debit card abuse. Buris was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 1300 block of NW 7th st at 8:08 A.M. on February 12, 2022. The victim reported that 2 firearms and some jewelry were stolen from a their vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a business in the 2100 block of NE Loop 286 at 8:23 A.M. on February 12, 2022. The victim reported that he found the front door unlocked when he arrived for work on February 10, 2022 and someone had stolen numerous power tools. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police observed a vehicle near the 500 block of W Campbell st at 9:15 A.M. on February 12, 2022 and knew the driver to have an outstanding felony warrant. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver fled. After a short pursuit, the driver, 29 year old Kenya Devonta Bell, of Clarksville, Texas, was arrested. During the investigation, Bell was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Bell was charged with possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and tampering with evidence. Bell was found to have an outstanding felony warrant charging him with assault of a family member by impeding breathing with a previous conviction. Bell was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
At 6:52 P.M. on February 12, 2022, Paris Police responded to the 300 block of Stone Ave in reference to a theft of a vehicle. The victim reported that they had just arrived at the location and had entered their residence. Upon returning to the vehicle a few minutes later, they found that it was missing. The victim did not know how the unknown suspect(s) had started the vehicle. The vehicle was later located abandoned in the 1200 block of NE Loop 286. The investigation continues.
Paris Police met with a victim of an assault in the 500 block of SE 13th St at 4:06 A.M. on February 13, 2022. The 32 year old victim reported that she had been assaulted by a known 39 year old male. The victim reported that the two were not in a dating relationship but would see each other from time to time. She victim reported that while they were together on this date, the victim received a call from another male and the suspect became angry and assaulted her and choked her. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. The incident is under investigation.
Jayquan D. Tennon, 27, was arrested in the 2100 block of E Cherry St at 8:46 A.M. on February 13, 2022. Tennon was known to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Lamar County charging him with failing to register as a sex offender. Tenon was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to 210 calls for service and arrested 17 person on February 13, 2022.
