A Choctaw County man, who had recently moved to the area from Oologah, was arrested on Sunday after calling the Choctaw County Communications Center and allegedly making a bomb threat.
According to Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park, the man stated he had planted a bomb in a building.
“We started looking for him in certain areas and tracked him to a location east of Hugo,” said Park. “We caught him as he was leaving a residence and Mirandized him.”
Park said the man admitted to making the call and was transported to the Choctaw County Jail.
“While at the Comm. Center, we spoke with OSBI who stated the suspect had just called them making the same threats. Excellent work CCSO, Stewart Stanfield, John Redman Choate, Joshua Smith, Ralph Allred, John Osmer, and Comm. Center Dispatchers.”
