The Paris Body Art Expo is set to open the Love Civic Center doors at 12 p.m. on Friday, kicking off the show’s annual weekend filled with tattoos, piercings and amazing artwork.
“Come check out some these talented men and women as they compete for tattoo awards and possibly even get your next tattoo.”
The expo will also be giving away $1,200 worth of free tattoo money. With the purchase of an entry, two chances to win will be given. Winners will be drawn randomly and are announced during the show – must be present to win.
Each day there will be a show category and a free for all category.
Show categories can only be entered if the tattoo was done at the show by an attending artist. The awards for those will be custom made and reserved only fr attending artists.
Free for all categories are not custom awards but anyone can enter whether the tattoo was done at the expo or not. Can be healed or fresh. Artist does not have to be present. Free for all category will not have a best project piercing or blind tattoo category.
Best cover-up must have a before photo. Best portrait must have photo for reference. Best project piercing and blind tattoo have only one award. All other categories are 1st and 2nd place. All categories are $10 to enter.
Show categories, best of day and best of show must all be started and completed at the expo.
Schedule of events:
- Friday – Load-in starts at 9 a.m. Doors open to the public at 12 p.m. Free for all categories judging starts at 7 p.m. and show categories judging start immediately after. Expo closes at 11 p.m.
- Saturday – Doors open at 11 a.m. for the public. Judging for free for all categories starts at 6 p.m. and judging for show categories starts immediately after. Expo closes at 11 p.m.
- Sunday – Doors open to the public at 10 a.m. Judging for free for all categories starts at 5 p.m. and judging for show categories start immediately after. Expo closes at 9 p.m.
Day passes for the event are $15 and weekend passes are $35. Passes can be purchased at the door or online here.
