Mail-in ballots
Only the voter is able to request an application to vote by mail. Voters can pick up an application for vote by mail at the Lamar County Elections office at 231 Lamar Ave.
For those who call the elections office, the office said they are required to speak with the voter who is requesting a mail-in ballot application, and a blank application will be mailed. The elections office can no longer pre-fill out the applications.
“You must read carefully to be sure not to miss a box that needs to be marked,” the elections office said. “If it’s not completed in its entirety, it will be rejected.”
