A Paris local is asking for an explanation from FedEx after a representative with the delivery service tossed one of their packages about 10-15 feet, potentially damaging merchandise.
While he was working, Chad Liesman received a call from his wife asking him to check his security camera after a delivery man threw one of their packages.
“I was very, very surprised at what he did,” Liesman said. “He could have easily walked like 10 more feet, instead of throwing the package.”
Liesman said his wife receives medical supplies and medications through the mail, and the tossed package could have been a needed prescription.
“I’m not one to blast everything on Facebook, but that really, really irritated me,” he said. “I know that everyone in the surrounding area probably had the same issue.”
Liesman said they were lucky what he had ordered were flip flops for his son, “but at the end of the day, he didn’t know that.
“My main thing is, I want an explanation. Why would you just toss it, when you could have literally walked 10 more feet,” he said. “It just doesn’t make sense. I also want an apology and for him to be held accountable.”
Liesman said he shared the video on social media in hopes of raising awareness and “hope someone IDs the guy.
“Plus, I wanted to tell everyone, if you’re getting damaged products, it may not be from whoever you’re buying from. It could be the shipping service,” he said. “If he does mine that way, you know he does them all.”
Liesman said he’s already reached out to FedEx and waited on hold for about 27 minutes Monday.
“Like every other person, we buy a lot from Amazon, Wal-Mart, and everywhere else online,” he said. “I want someone to call me back and ensure this is not acceptable and that when I order in the future, this is not gonna happen.”
