The HomeStay Committee of the Lamar County Homelessness Coalition (LCHC) is inviting all local contractors to a complimentary Chicken Fried Steak lunch at Magel’s Grill on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 11:45 a.m.

In addition to lunch, which is being underwritten by the RAM Foundation, there will be a brief presentation on the efforts of the HomeStay program to keep people in their homes by making small but critical home repairs.

The HomeStay Committee is comprised of Judy Martin from Habitat for Humanity, Chair; Jenny Wilson, United Way of Lamar County, Secretary; Shelly Braziel, Joey Renfro and Cara Walsh from Lamar County Human Resources Council; Kelly Crawford, Paris Housing Authority; Keith Bolman, New Hope Center; Cindy Ringwald and Mike Hooge, Habitat; Dede Fasken, RAM Foundation; and Gary O’Connor.

Secretary Jenny Wilson explains “We are NOT asking for any cash donations.  We are inviting local contractors to lunch to explain more about our program and see if they would be interested in volunteering their services just once a year to help make minor repairs on a home.”

Contractors interested should RSVP to Judy Martin at (903)783-0599 by Friday, February 22nd.
