To honor local heroes who have lost their lives in the line of duty, Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop will host its annual Lamar County Police Memorial Walk on Saturday, May 20 at Reno Kiwanis Park at 9 a.m.
Michelle Widner, wife of Paris Police Detective Chris Widner who passed away in the line of duty on August 22, 2021, will be the guest speaker.
The event, which was originally scheduled for May 13 but postponed due to weather, will be a 1 1/2 mile walk (3 laps total) at Reno Kiwanis Park, 6810 Pine Mill Road in Reno, Texas.
