Barbara Katherine Hamm went home on May 17th, 2023.
She was born to parents, Charles and Ethel Cox in Blackwell, Oklahoma on September 9, 1935. She married Ed Hamm July 25, 1953 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Barbara was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Paris and worked as a nurse’s aid and in- home- care before her retirement. Barbara knew how to love and care for others and in return she was well loved by those who were blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her children; Randy Hamm and his wife, Ruthie; her daughter, Sherry Risinger and her husband, Johnny; and her son-in-law, John Currin; her grandchildren, Paul Barnum and wife, Regie, Reanna Hamm, Stephen Simpson, Mallory Holladay and husband, Tim, Ryan Hamm and Rachel Carden; great-grandchildren, Bridget Barnum, Joseph Barnum, Truly Barnum, Rivers Simpson, Autumn Holladay, Savannah Hamm; brother, Frank Cox and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Currin; and grandchild, Barry Lollar as well as six brothers and one sister.
A visitation with friends and family will be held on Friday, May 19 at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday May, 20th at 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God with Pastor Mickey Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Gardens in Paris, Texas.
