Del Roy Farmer, Sr., 82, of Brookston, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Carrus Hospital in Sherman.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for Saturday, June 7th at 3:00 p.m. at the Pavilion of Long Cemetery with Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. The family will receive friends at the pavilion from 2 – 3 p.m.
Mr. Farmer, the son of Stanley Lee Farmer and; Clara Corine Morrison Farmer, was born May 17, 1943, in Dallas, TX. He attended elementary school in Grand Prairie and L. D. Bell High School in Hurst Euless Bedford. Del received his Bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University. His career with LTV (Chance Vought) spanned many years before his retirement. When he retired, he moved to Brookston where he enjoyed farming and raising various animals.
His parents, two siblings, Stanley Ray Farmer and Duane Farmer, and two sisters-in-law, Linda Farmer and Sue Farmer preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Antonina Farmer, whom he married in 2001, two children, Del Roy Farmer, Jr. and Carol Ann Farmer, five grandchildren, Kevin, Kayla, Dalton, Cara, and Carly, six great grandchildren, four siblings, Peggy Santerre, Dorothy Reed and husband Robert, Archie Farmer, and Patricia Hodges and husband Rickey, and a sister-in-law, Martha Farmer along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
