In a continuing effort to make sure Lamar County law enforcement officers have the gear they need to keep them safe, four officers are up for adoption this evening.
“Our community has come together in the past to support law enforcement in a capacity that blew us away and we’re asking locals again to show their support for several new officers from various departments in Lamar County that are in need of equipment,” said LCAC President Amanda Willows.
Three officers are up for adoption for vests ($375):
Deputy Tyler Bussell
Deputy Andy Wahlquist
Officer Frank Mooney
While only one is up for adoption for a ballistic helmet ($250):
Officer Caleb Sleeper
“We are so thankful for all the support we’ve had including a generous donation from Brenda Adams, who covered the helmets for the deputies,” said Willows.
