The Fannin County Texas A&M Club recently awarded five $500.00 scholarships to area students who will be attending Texas A&M University at College Station beginning in the Fall semester 2023.
The recipients are Caleb Arris (Bonham HS), Carson Arris (Bonham HS), Corbin Garner (Leonard HS), Addy Lyday (Trenton HS), and Trinity Zachary (Leonard HS).
The scholarship is available to students who submit an application/essay regarding their high school achievements, reside in Fannin County, and have been accepted to attend Texas A&M University, College Station.
Caleb Arris plans to study Construction Science on his way to developing his own mobile ag mechanics shop.
While attending Bonham High School, Caleb was involved in FFA and 4-H at the local , district, and state levels.
Carson Arris aspires to be a professional accountant and potential politician.
Carson has been very active in Bonham HS student government, athletics, and is a state 4-H officer.
While attending Leonard High School, Corbin Garner was active in FFA where he has held numerous offices and earned his Lone Star Farmer degree.
Corbin plans to major in Animal Science while at Texas A&M.
Addy Lyday’s dream of being an Aggie leads her down a path to a career in nursing.
Addy has been involved in golf, Beta Club, and Trenton Tiger Cheer.
With a vision of becoming an Orthodontist, Triniti Zachary plans a course of study as a biology major. Triniti is a past Fannin County Queen and Miss Leonard.
Triniti has also been active in athletics, student government, Beta Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The Fannin County Texas A&M Club would like to congratulate these deserving students and wish them well as members of Texas A&M University class of 2027.
