Grab your favorite frock and dust off those suspenders ladies and gents, it’s time to take a leap back to the 1920s and celebrate the Grand Opening at The Blind Pig.

The Blind Pig is gearing up to for their very much anticipated grand opening set for Friday, May 31, at their shop located at 129 S Main St.

A Speakeasy Soiree will help celebrate this unique downtown business with guests to arrive at 8 p.m., but to enter you must have the password.

“Our speakeasy is in a separate back portion of the building with an intimate and inviting atmosphere,” owner of The Blind Pig Cristy Burns said.

Hints for the password to get into the event will be posted on their Facebook page closer to the night.

A 1920’s period attire is highly recommended but not required according to The Blind Pig.

“On the evening of the soiree guests will be met by period dressed weight staff, hors d’ouvres, and an amazing wine list while serenaded by two special guests playing piano and saxophone,” she added.

No matter the attire that you arrive in, Burns said she felt that this type of event was the only way she could truly pay homage to The Blind Pig. As history states, Speakeasies were also called ‘Blind Pigs’.

“I want this event to be relaxing, enjoyable and allow each guest to visit with others there in an old school style and setting. Helping me celebrate the arrival of The Blind Pig to Paris and its patrons,” Burns said.

The event will run through to 11 p.m., and should you look for further information you can contact The Blind Pig through their Facebook page – no password required.
