On Wednesday afternoon, the Paris-Lamar County Health District announced 16 new COVID-19 cases as the total case count reached 1,278.
Of those cases, seven are travel-related and 1,271 community spread.
As of Wednesday, 1,008 people have recovered from the coronavirus well exceeding the number of active cases, which is 196.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been a total of 32 coronavirus-related deaths in Lamar County and 42 positive antibody tests.
