City Manager Grayson Path announced the list of candidates for the Paris Police Department’s Chief of Police position.
The three finalist candidates Path revealed interviewing for the city’s chief of police include:
- Brian Griffeth, City Marshall for the City of Rowlett, Texas;
- Tony Griggs, Chief of Police for the City of Celina, Texas – Retired; and
- Richard Salter, Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Omaha Division.
On January 21, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., the city will conduct a virtual interview observable to the community.
Path said he would like to seek input from the community to assist in the decision. Those wishing to watch the interview can do so by visiting the City of Paris’ website here, in which a live-stream video will be available on the homepage along with links for other streaming services. The video will remain on the homepage so that viewers can replay it at a later time.
In addition, there will be a link on the homepage for those wishing to provide Path with input. The link will become active once the interviews are complete.
Path asks for those wishing to submit input to do so no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He will review community input in combination with other relevant factors and decide on a candidate to present to the city council at a future council meeting.
