The Paris Police Department continues to investigate the disappearance of Bridgett Jeffery, a local woman who has been missing since Sept. 18, 2026. That is the last date investigators have been able to verify that she was seen. Her family has not heard from her, and investigators remain concerned about her extended absence.
Since the initial report, investigators have actively pursued multiple leads and followed up on information received from various sources across multiple jurisdictions.
The investigation has included area-wide searches near Jeffery’s last known location, involving multiple investigators from the Paris Police Department and the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office.
Drones also were used during search efforts.
The continued sharing of information on social media and by word of mouth remains critical to this investigation.
The police department could not issue a Silver Alert because Jeffery is not 65 or older, and a CLEAR alert was not possible because more than 72 hours had passed before she was reported missing, which is also required for Silver Alerts.
Because the State’s criteria for using these tools cannot be met, public assistance in sharing information about this missing person is vital.
The Paris Police Department is asking the public to continue sharing information about Jeffery’s disappearance on social media, and to report any information that could assist investigators. Even details that may seem minor or insignificant could prove valuable to the investigation.
The Texas Department of Public Safety provided additional assistance in investigating reported sightings outside Lamar County.
Those sightings were investigated but ultimately determined to involve someone other than Jeffery.
Anyone who has seen Jeffery, communicated with her or has information about her whereabouts since Sept. 18 is urged to contact the Paris Police Department at 903-784-6688.
The Paris Police Department appreciates the assistance of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the members of the public who have provided information or assisted with search efforts.
Investigators remain committed to locating Jeffery and ask the community to continue sharing this information and coming forward with any tips that may help bring her home.
Anyone with information regarding Bridgett Jeffery’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Paris Police Department at 903-784-6688.
