In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, DELCO Trailers brought together members of the local community for a special photo project centered around a bright pink bumper-pull livestock trailer and a cause that touches countless families.
Organized through DELCO’s marketing department, the project invited women and men whose lives have been affected by breast cancer to participate in a meaningful photoshoot. Participants represented a variety of experiences, including survivors, those currently battling the disease, and individuals supporting or honoring loved ones affected by breast cancer.
The bright pink livestock trailer served as the centerpiece of the project, bringing a powerful message of awareness into a setting that reflects DELCO’s agricultural roots in Northeast Texas.
Heather Burchinal, who leads DELCO’s marketing efforts, shared that the project was especially meaningful to her, both personally and professionally.
“Breast cancer has touched so many lives, including my own family. My Aunt Stacy and Aunt Patty are two women who have made this cause especially close to my heart. I know firsthand that behind every diagnosis is an entire family whose lives are affected.
DELCO is passionate about supporting causes that matter to our community, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a company that encourages us to use our resources and creativity to make a difference. We wanted to do something that went beyond simply recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We wanted to bring real people together, recognize their strength, honor their journeys, and remind them that their stories matter.”
What began as a creative idea involving a pink livestock trailer became something much more meaningful — an opportunity to bring together individuals with different experiences but a shared connection to a disease that has affected so many.
The project also reflects DELCO Trailers’ commitment to the communities it serves. While the company is known for manufacturing hardworking trailers, this initiative provided an opportunity to use its products and platform for a purpose beyond the everyday demands of the industry.
Burchinal expressed her appreciation for those who took the time to participate.
“Every person who showed up brought a story with them. Some stories are about survival, some are about the fight they’re still facing, and others are about remembering someone they love. I’m incredibly thankful they were willing to be part of this. That’s what made this project special.”
Through this project, DELCO hopes to encourage continued awareness, compassion, and support for the individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
Because behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a story worth recognizing.
